Make a Favorite Book Character Pumpkin!
Share
Boone Bears LOVE books! And who doesn’t love pumpkins? The Boone Library wants to celebrate both by encouraging families to make a “literary pumpkin”. The idea is for your family to work together to create a pumpkin representing a favorite book or book character. Bring your decorated pumpkin to the library to share with the Boone community. We hope to have a library full of pumpkins!
● Artificial pumpkins (from Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Target, etc.) are perfect for this project. Due to issues with rotting pumpkins in the past, no real pumpkins, please! Don’t have a pumpkin? An unopened box of tissues will work too.
● Your child may bring their pumpkin to the library between October 13 and October 30. Please remind your child to pick up their pumpkin after Halloween. Pumpkins that are not picked up by November 6th will be discarded.
● Students who participate will be entered into a drawing to win a free book at the fall book fair!
● Need ideas? Gather around a device and google “literary pumpkin”!
● The purpose is to celebrate books, have fun, and share your creativity.
