Officers
VP Programs
The vice-president of programs leads the charge for Boone PTA’s community events throughout the school year (like Family Game Night and Movie Night), as well as planning Staff Appreciation Week and teacher luncheons throughout the year.
Standing Committees (Part of the Executive Board)
Big Bears Chair
The Big Bears chair provides a positive male role model for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important. The Big Bears chair provides an extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
Merchandise Chair
The merchandise chair designs and prints Boone branded merchandise to sell to promote school spirit inside and outside of the school. Organizes sales and keeps track of inventory throughout the year.
Fall Fundraising Chair
The Fall Fundraising chair will establish a committee to help carry out their duties. They are responsible for planning and coordinating a school-wide fundraiser for the fall semester. With the committee, they will generate awareness and enthusiasm for the fundraiser, plan classroom and teacher incentives for the fundraiser and distribute prizes for those individuals.
Spring/Silent Auction Chair
The spring fundraising chair will establish a committee to carry out their duties. They are responsible for planning and coordinating the silent auction during the spring semester. They will work with the room rep to gather items from each classroom, set up the online auction and input all items for the sale. After the auction, they will summarize a list of auction winners and collect auction donations in the weeks following the auction and distribute the auction winnings.
