VP Programs

The vice-president of Programs leads the charge for Boone PTA’s community events throughout the school year (like Family Game Night and Movie Night).

Membership Chair

The Membership Chair plays a key role in growing a strong, vibrant PTA. By welcoming and engaging families, staff, and community members, you’ll help others understand how membership supports more programs for students and families, strengthens our voice as child advocates, and creates more opportunities to get involved. This is a great opportunity to help share the value of PTA and make a meaningful difference in our school community.

Standing Committees (Part of the Executive Board)

Big Bears Chair

The Big Bears chair provides a positive male role model for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important. The Big Bears chair provides an extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

Merchandise Chair

The merchandise chair designs and prints Boone branded merchandise to sell to promote school spirit inside and outside of the school. Organizes sales and keeps track of inventory throughout the year.

Yearbook Chair

The Yearbook Chair leads the planning and production of the school yearbook by coordinating a student Yearbook Club and committee volunteers. Responsibilities include overseeing photography and page creation, managing communication with the yearbook publisher, coordinating sales and distribution, tracking inventory and finances, promoting participation and deadlines, and providing updates to the PTA Board throughout the year.

Special Committee Chairs

Trunk or Treat Chair

The Trunk or Treat Chair plans and oversees the PTA's annual Trunk or Treat event by coordinating volunteers, managing event logistics, and working with school administration and the PTA Board. Responsibilities include recruiting and leading a committee, organizing event activities and communications, coordinating with vendors and campus partners, managing volunteers on event day, submitting receipts for reimbursement, and ensuring a fun, safe, and successful event for the school community.
